About Me:
I'm a naturopathic student in bridgeport CT. I have 13 months until I graduate and I'm very much looking foward to that (to say the least). AlthoughI love learning about health, it's not my only interest. At this moment I'd rather focus on learning more integral philosophy, reading some novels, getting back to some artistic pursuits I used to have, learn applied kineseology, study for by board exams, and find an amazing woman to date, than do class work. I quit my old job (mail carrier) 9-11-2004 to go back to school, and I'm so, so tired of classes, even if I know it's important.
I've recently been getting into philosophy, especially the work of Ken Wilber (although I will soon start a class at the School of Practical Philosophy in New York). In philosophy I'm getting answer I can't get any place else, and I see an opportunity to meet extraoridinary people. I want to focus on developing depth, and maybe see a point to life other than death. It used to drive me crazy when I was a mail carrier, and I'd go to work feeling miserable that I was wasting my life doing that…and everyone else at work didn't seem to mind that there has to be something more to life than routine.
I'm very cynical and skeptical, and complain and like to come up with arguements to tear down other people's concepts. Since i read Spiral Dynamics, my newest thing is using it to analyze whatever crazy things people say, and catagorize it. For example, my gynocology teacher said that she has the power to see the soul enter the body at the moment of birth (when she's witnessed birth). The liberal part of me wants to listen and not judge that, by a much more genuine part of me wants to lable that puple (in spiral dynamic speak) voodoo magic.
